About the offering
01This WISH report highlights significant gaps in the evidence base for effective autism interventions, as well as in epidemiological research examining causes and prevalence. Many families face challenges in accessing public education and essential services for their children with autism, often encountering societal and cultural barriers.
The report emphasizes that national policies are most effective when strong collaboration exists across the health, education, and social sectors, with technical silos reduced and coordination strengthened. It concludes with three key recommendations: establishing an interagency coordinating commission to address autism spectrum disorder at the national level; creating interdisciplinary centers of excellence dedicated to training and research in autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions across the lifespan; and developing a global partnership framework to advance coordinated action worldwide.
